Our Terms

Payment of Goods:  Upon receipt of your order, we will email an invoice for the amount to pay.  Payment must be made by internet banking.  NO OVER THE COUNTER BANK DEPOSITS PLEASE, otherwise we get charged deposit fees.  We do not offer credit and payment is required and must appear in our bank account before goods will be dispatched.  Please remember to check your junk and spam for our invoice.

Livestock:  We do not sell pullets individually and the minimum purchase is three birds.  This is so they have companions to help them adjust to their new home environment and if you ever experience the loss of a bird at any time, you are not left with one lonely bird and having difficulty finding a suitable mate.  Birds will not be reserved without prior payment and we require a 50% deposit to confirm your order and secure your place on our waiting list.  The balance is payable prior to pickup and we have EFTPOS available on site for all other purchases from our product range.

Our chickens have all been hand raised with plenty of human contact in preparation for their new homes.  They are handed over to you in good health with the potential to live a long and productive life.  However, once they leave our property they become your own responsibility and we are not liable for any unexpected health issues or losses which may occur.  We cannot guarantee the long-term health of your birds, their longevity or the number of eggs that they will lay as these depend on many factors that are beyond our control.  We are happy to offer advice, should you have any questions.

We do not ship our birds.  They must be picked up from Algies Bay, Warkworth.  Please bring a suitable pet carrier or box (apple boxes from the supermarket are ideal) to transport your birds home and include a layer of bedding such as an old towel (not just a sheet of newspaper) to prevent them skidding around and risking injury while travelling.

Fertile Eggs:  Buying fertile eggs is always going to be a gamble and there are no guarantees.  You are buying eggs, not guaranteed chicks.  It is unrealistic to expect every egg to develop and hatch, as many factors will affect the outcome.  We package eggs extremely well to protect against breakages during transit, but once they leave our hands, we cannot be responsible for what happens to them and internal damage caused during shipping is a possibility.  Fertility and hatchability will be affected by rough handling, knocks or delays during shipment, temperature fluctuations, or incubation issues.  Any eggs that fail to develop were not necessarily infertile at the time they were sent.  By having your eggs shipped, you accept the risk involved and understand there's a chance the embryos may not develop.  We do not offer refunds or replacements in the event of breakages or a poor hatch.

Bio Security:  We are not open to the public and visitors will need to make an appointment.  The risk of contamination coming in from outside sources is a potential threat to our birds, so in order to "protect our borders" from viruses and bacteria entering our property and threatening the health of our birds, we do not permit visitors to enter areas where our livestock are kept.  However, we are quite happy to show you our birds through the fence.
Dogs are not permitted on our property.  If you must bring your dog, please ensure it is securely confined in your vehicle.  You will be liable for any damage or loss caused by your dog.
We ask that visitors observe and respect our restrictions.
